Toronto Metropolitan Convention Center

On Front Street West, in the heart of Toronto’s downtown, is where you’ll find the Metro Toronto Convention Center. The waterfront is within a short stroll away. It is Canada’s top venue for conventions and trade shows. It features more than 600,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space and was built in 1984. The convention space was increased to its present size in 1997 by an underground expansion built by Bregman + Hamann Architects for the south side.

Now, the John Basset Theatre, a premier venue with seating for 1,330 guests, is located in the North Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. It has its own private lobby, Front Street entrance, and self-contained space. It also features adjacent areas that are excellent for pre- and post-performance refreshments. The John Basset Theatre subsidiary Showtech Productions aids clients with their staging needs.

The North Building additionally has an 85,000 square foot pre-function space, a 14,000 square foot registration room with a guest services desk, and full electrical and telecommunications capabilities.
